Lidl are promoting a new neighbourhood foodstore on Aldermaston Road on the northern edge of Tadley. The site is currently undeveloped land and is a short distance north of the existing Sainsbury’s store.
As part of our ongoing commitment to public consultation, we are delighted to be able to provide members of the local community with an overview of our exciting development proposals. This website provides links to our planning application that has now been submitted to West Berkshire Council.
We held a Public Consultation Event on 20th February 2019 at Tadley Community Centre to allow local residents and other interested parties the chance to offer their opinion and suggestions while learning more about the development.

The Proposed Development
- Provision of a new 1,411m² (net sales) neighbourhood foodstore;
- Improved choice and competition for local shoppers;
- 129 parking spaces including, 8 disabled and 8 parent and child spaces and 2 motorcycling spaces; and
- Creation of up to 40 jobs for local residents.
