Why Support Us?
The planning application has been submitted to West Berkshire Council after public consultation with local residents. As part of the application process, West Berkshire planning officers will liaise with relevant consultees in order to decide whether the new Lidl store should be built.
As with all developments, there will be people who are for and people against the development and it is very important that you have your say. If you are in support of our application to develop the site, it is vital that you make your views known to your local Ward Councillor.
The application site is situated within West Berkshire but is immediately adjacent to the boundary with Basingstoke and Deane Borough, and the majority of the residents who are expected to shop at the new Lidl will in fact be residents in Basingstoke and Deane. However it is expected that West Berkshire’s planning department will seek comments from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and therefore local residents in Tadley and the surrounding area should still feel free to contact their Basingstoke and Deane Councillor to make their views on the application known.
Please visit our Reasons to Support Us page to find out more information about how Lidl’s new store and the creation of up to 40 new jobs will benefit the areas of Tadley, Baughurst, Pamber Heath and Silchester.
If you wish to leave feedback on any of the above please visit our How to Support Us page. Letters or emails need not be long but, to be most effective, should ideally be focused on ‘planning issues’ as highlighted on our Reasons to Support Us page.
